Cool way to end a HOT summer !

Saturday we decided to take the kids ice skating to end the summer. School starts Monday so it was a great way to wrap up a great summer.

Scrapping room remodel

Well with my time off I decided to do a little re-do and reorganization to my scrapping room. Let me know what you think...

Brad Paisley Concert

Don got me two tickets for Mother's Day, I decided to take Madie. It was a great time for Madie's first concert. It was Josh Turner, Sara Evans, and Brad Paisley.
We went with Deena, Katie, Mitchell, AJ, and Breanna.
Madie already wanted to know when she can go to another.

Locks of Love

This past weekend was the Realy for Life. We had a great weekend and the highlight was Madie and Danielle donating their hair to locks of love. Madies ended up being about 12"I think Daddy was more upset than she or I was. I guess he didnt have to brush through the knots as much as we did. Its amazing how much older she looks now !!!!! And she loves it !!!!

BROKEN ARM !!!

UGH ! Nate was being a monkey yesterday on the swing set and fell. We ended up at the emergency room for a couple hours to find out his arm wasbroken in 2 places. They sent him home in a splint for the night. He has a appointment to get it cast today at 2:30. Thankfully school is out for the summer because its his right hand. We still have 2 soccer games though. It will be REALLY hard for him to sit on the sidelines, but I dont want him to injure it worse.

I guess he really got his Dads genes, he had a broken arm in Kindergarten too. Like Father like son. I just hope we dont get the Sophmore broken wrists at once like his Dad !!!!

Postal Food Drive

The Postal food drive was Saturday. The kids went and helped Dad collect food. This has become a a yearly tradition for them, and they really enjoy it. Im so proud of the hard work they do to help others. The PO collected around 20,000 pounds of food this year, it goes to local food banks to help the less fortunate. Way to go USPS !

Scrappin Room

The new house has a room I have claimed as mine....its big enough to have as many as 8 friends come for classes or just to scrap. Im dying to get a shelving system and a long counter top for the wall where the computer is....but I guess that will come with time and $ :) Till then Im just enjoying having all the room !!!!!!!!!!

We even have a refridgerator for cool drinks...no need to leave very often :)

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY !!!

Especially to the mother Robin who became a Mom today. We welcomed the addition of 4 little bald robins today !!!!!!
Last nights Tim and Faith concert was AMAZING !!! It was in the round and the stage was digital and the had graphics that would play on it during songs ...it was awesome ! He did all my favorites....Dont take the girl, live like you were dyin', and others. But getting in at 2 am is hard on this girl thats normally in bed at 9 ! LOL So Im a little sluggish today...of course its not from the Shmirinoff...its from being out late....yeah right ! :)

Signs of Spring

Tonight while cutting the grass I found a robins nest in the bush beside the house. When I looked in, to my amazement, there were 4 eggs ! Id never seen so many robin eggs in one nest ! I snapped a few pics then let Mamma bird get back to them. We will keep checking them and post their progress. Spring is definitely here !!!!

New House (Outside Pics)

After cutting the grass after work (thats 3 hours of grass cutting , compared to the old 15 min !) I decided to take a few outside pics of the house for everyone to see. Im still working on getting the flower beds up to par, but its coming along. Still alot of work, but we're so much happier with all the room !

Scrapbook Survivor Round I

This is the layout that I created for Scrapbook Survivor Round I. We received a baggie full of stuff that we were required to use on the layout, we submitted our entries, and there was a vote on the online group I belong to. Mine made it through, so on to round II.
In the baggie for this challenge were : tongue depressor, 2 sik flowers, 2 tags, sequins,piece of ribbon, square of bright green paper, and we had to use inking.

Relay For Life

I Just wanted to let everyone know that the Family will be participating in the Relay for Life this Year. We will be participating in our great friend (Carol's) group. The Relay will be held at the Stadium on June 24th-25th. Madison and her friend Danielle have decided that during the weekend they will be having their hair cut to donate to Locks of Love....how amazing is that ??? It will surely be strange to see her with short hair, but she is doing it for a great cause !

Stitching Layout

I did this one for the Design Team Challenge too. We had to have stitching on it, so I hand stitched around the torn hearts. I LOVE this pic of the kiddos, it was taken last summer on vacation. We were at the water park and Nate gave big sis a little peck on the cheek....gee Ill have to pull this out when they are fighting, just to remind them how much they LOVE each other !!!!
